Significant resources were invested in the development and testing of ISOL-AIDE products. The result of these efforts earned Component Systems, Inc. a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and Achievement from the U.S. House of Representatives and the EDI Innovation Award from Case Western Reserve University in September of 1993. Preliminary reports of ISOL-AIDEs efficacy in a health care setting were evaluated and accepted for presentation at the World Congress on Tuberculosis in Bethesda Maryland and the International Conference of the American Lung Association and the American Thoracic Society in Miami, Florida in 1992. Later, in December of 1993, the results of comprehensive ISOL-AIDE testing became the subject of an article accepted for publication in the official journal of the Society for Hospital Epidemiology of America, Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology. (view journalarticle.pdf) Further testimony to the efficacy of ISOL-AIDEs technology is demonstrated by its wide acceptance within the medical community as an effective engineering control for respiratory isolation. To date, ISOL-AIDE respiratory isolation products have been chosen for more than 500 health care settings and continues to provide a safer environment for employees nationwide.
